What our mastering includes
Mastering is €72 per track or €545 for albums up to twelve tracks. We tune loudness and EQ for streaming and download; one revision round is included in studio rules, with up to 2 rounds when mix and master run together per terms.
Typical exports: 16-bit/44.1 kHz WAV for many aggregators, plus 24-bit/48 kHz if you want HD tiers. We do not supply DDP for CD plants unless agreed upfront via contact — physical pressing needs extra specs.
Streaming platforms and loudness
Spotify, Apple Music and others normalize playback; hyper-loud masters lose punch without perceptual gain on phones and earbuds. We aim for healthy peaks and consistent perceived level across your EP or album so singles and album tracks sit together without constant volume rides.
Tell us if the song is a standalone single or part of a longer release; album sequencing affects spacing and fades. More detail lives in FAQ and services.
Metadata, ISRC and credits
Distributors ask for ISRC codes per track; reserve them yourself or let your aggregator generate codes. Credits (writer, composer, producer, mix/master engineer) must match your submission — we credit Monimiavyra only where contracted. Explicit content flags and release territory (Benelux, EU, worldwide) are chosen in your distributor dashboard, not in the WAV filename.
Cover art must meet platform size rules; keep text inside safe areas. Multilingual lyrics? Deliver plain text files, not only booklet PDFs.
Copyright and neighbouring rights (overview)
In the Netherlands, music authors keep copyright in principle; commercial exploitation needs permission or licence. Writers and composers often use collective management for broadcast and online use — register splits before release, not after.
Performers and phonogram producers hold neighbouring rights; commercial releases usually need written waivers or fees. This is not legal advice; consult a specialist when unsure. See disclaimer for site liability limits.
Samples, covers and sync
Using a sample or cover? Clear mechanicals and sync before mastering — we should not master a track you may have to pull for missing clearance. Third-party instrumentals follow their stock licence tier (commercial, broadcast, etc.).
Film, ads and games need sync deals beyond studio recording. Stem exports for remixers should follow stem delivery specs so downstream knows permitted use.
Physical and special formats
Vinyl and cassette need different mastering choices (groove length, mono compatibility). Plan a separate pass and timeline; standard €72 targets digital release.
Atmos or immersive formats are not in the default rate; talk to us upfront for Apple Spatial. We can deliver stereo masters accepted by upstream converters.
Privacy and file handling
Pre-release masters stay confidential; we do not share with third parties without your OK. Upload via secure link or collect at Van Woustraat 78. 24-month retention aligns with privacy policy.
