Mixing
We balance your recordings into a stereo mix — at our desk on Van Woustraat or from cleanly delivered stems, with clear naming and agreed revision rounds.

Mixing at Monimiavyra is where arrangement, dynamics and space meet. Whether you tracked in our vocal booth or live room, send home-studio stems, or finish an EP, we work from your multitrack with a dedicated engineer (usually Isa Koster) and keep feedback concrete with timestamps and notes.
Offline per-track mixing is predictable on price; studio hours help when you want to listen together and decide automation in real time. Read stem delivery before export; terms and revisions are in terms and conditions. Streaming loudness comes after approval via mastering.
Process
- 1
Brief
Send track list, references, BPM and deadline via contact. We confirm format (WAV/AIFF), sample rate and offline vs in-studio.
- 2
Delivery
Upload stems per stem specifications: synced from start, no mix-bus processing unless agreed, clear folder layout.
- 3
Mix pass
Balance, EQ, compression, panning and sends. First mix within agreed turnaround; in studio billed at €88 per hour.
- 4
Revision
You receive stereo mix (optional mix-bus stems). Up to 2 revision rounds per studio rules; then hourly.
Offline track vs studio hours
Offline mixing (€185 per track) suits artists who already have a rough balance and want finish, space and dynamics. You do not need to attend; we work async and send a first mix for review.
Studio hours (€88) make sense for heavy A/B listening, live vocal double decisions, or building effect chains together. EPs up to five tracks bundle at €720 when you want one coherent sound across songs.
Stem delivery that saves time
Most delays come from out-of-sync exports or vague file names. Deliver each track as mono or stereo WAV, same sample rate, start at bar 1 or timecode zero. Avoid printing your DAW master limiter when sending individual tracks.
- Folder per song with instrument in the filename
- Tempo and key in a note or email
- Reference tracks as links, not unlicensed copyrighted files
- State tuning/autotune on vocal tracks

What we adjust in the mix
We do not magically fix bad recordings — weak takes stay recognisable — but we get the most from what exists: space between elements, stable vocal level, drum punch without masking, and a stereo field that works on headphones and speakers. Genre drives how hard we compress and how much spatial effect we use.
Broadcast-style vocal chains fit voice-over; final streaming levels belong in mastering after mix sign-off.
Outputs and formats
Default stereo WAV 24-bit/48 kHz; 44.1 kHz on request for CD-style workflows. Instrumental and a cappella exports available when agreed upfront.
| Output | Note |
|---|---|
| Stereo mix | Headroom for mastering |
| Instrumental | If agreed separately |
| Revision notes | Timestamp + requested change |

Turnaround
Turnaround depends on length, stem count and queue. After intake we respond within 2 business days with an estimate. Rush is sometimes possible at extra cost if the calendar allows — ask via phone.
Studio hours: Wednesday–Friday 10:00–20:00, Saturday 11:00–16:00. Closed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.. Offline projects run without you on site; deadlines go into the written quote. If your label or distributor sets a hard release date, mention it in the first email so we can flag conflicts early instead of promising an impossible turnaround.
Pricing, VAT and EP bundle
Prices on this page include 21% VAT. Business invoicing available; B2B term 14 days where applicable. 30% deposit on confirmation for larger projects.
EP rate (€720) covers up to five tracks delivered in one batch with shared references; extra tracks revert to €185. Beyond 2 rounds: hourly or per-project agreement.
Not included
Mixing does not cover recording missing parts, rewriting arrangement, heavy vocal tuning, mastering, beat licensing, or platform distribution. Extra vocals: vocal recording; ensemble drums: live recording.
Corrupt or out-of-sync stems are repaired on the clock — avoid that by following the guide.

FAQ
Do I need to attend offline mixing?
No. We send a first mix; you listen at home and send noted feedback. In-studio is optional at €88.
What headroom do you leave for mastering?
We keep space below 0 dBFS for mastering; tell us if you need a specific ceiling target.
Can I send my DAW session instead of stems?
Only if versions and plugins match or tracks are frozen. Stems are more reliable — see specifications.
How many revisions are included?
2 rounds with concrete points (not “make it feel different”). Extra rounds at hourly rate or by agreement.
Do you mix podcasts?
Dialogue-first work often fits voice-over; music mixing is the focus on this page.
