Accessibility statement
This English version is for information only. The Dutch version is legally authoritative.
In brief
- We aim for a site that works with keyboard, screen readers and sufficient contrast.
- No cookie wall: the banner does not block content and choices are equally visible.
- The De Pijp studio has steps and stairs; email ahead if you need mobility support.
- Accessibility feedback via contact — we aim to reply within 2 business days.
1. Scope
Monimiavyra B.V. publishes this statement for the public website monimiavyra.click and practical information about our recording studio at Van Woustraat 78, 1074 LN Amsterdam (De Pijp). It does not cover third-party sites we link to.
We aim to make our services — Vocal recording, Live ensemble recording, Mixing, Mastering and Voice-over and narration — reasonably accessible online and in the studio.
2. Legal context
In the Netherlands the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the Equal Treatment Act (disability and chronic illness) and European accessibility rules apply to products and services. Government sites follow specific digital accessibility regulations; we are a private studio but use those guidelines as a reference where helpful.
We design against Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA as a target, without claiming every success criterion has been independently audited.
3. Website measures
On monimiavyra.click we use, among other things:
- semantic HTML with a clear heading structure and a single main landmark;
- text alternatives for meaningful images;
- visible focus for keyboard navigation;
- labelled fields on contact;
- a cookie banner that does not block the whole page; accept and reject are equally prominent (see cookie policy);
- language attributes per page (Dutch and English).
We self-host fonts; no tracking scripts that slow interaction. Motion is limited and respects prefers-reduced-motion where browsers support it.
4. Known digital limitations
Despite our efforts, parts of the site may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. Examples we know or expect:
- some decorative studio photos have general alt text but not exhaustive descriptions;
- external map links (OpenStreetMap) open another site with its own accessibility;
- PDFs we send on request may not always be tagged.
We prioritise fixes that remove real barriers (operation, contrast, forms). Tell us where you get stuck and we address it directly.
5. Studio and route
Our entrance at Van Woustraat 78 is in a historic De Pijp street. Expect steps to the studio floor; there is no lift in the building. Inside are narrow corridors, cable runs and dark booth doors; we help with bags and instruments if you tell us in advance.
Getting here: Metro line 52 (North/South) stop De Pijp; from there it is about a 6-minute walk via Ferdinand Bolstraat to Van Woustraat 78. Tram 3 runs along Van Woustraat; from the Van Woustraat stop it is roughly a 2-minute walk. From Amsterdam Centraal, metro 52 towards Zuid takes about 15 minutes.. Hours: Wednesday–Friday 10:00–20:00, Saturday 11:00–16:00. Closed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.. For wheelchair use, rollator or other support, email [email protected] before booking so we can discuss feasibility and adjustments (mic height, seating in the live room, breaks).
Sound levels in the live room can be loud; hearing protection is available on request.
6. Feedback and enforcement
If you hit an accessibility barrier on monimiavyra.click or in the studio, contact us via contact, [email protected] or 020 261 3847. Describe the page or situation, your device or assistive tech, and what you expected. We acknowledge receipt and respond within about 2 business days with a fix or timeline.
If you are unhappy with our handling, you may contact the Netherlands Institute for Human Rights or other competent bodies for discrimination in services. Data processing: privacy policy.
7. Maintaining this statement
We review this statement when we change design or studio layout. Last update: 14 October 2026. Earlier versions are available on request.
